Dasman Diabetes Institute is hiring both Backend and Frontend Developer roles to help maintain and enhance our electronic health records (EHR) system. Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively, participate in training, and perform handovers as needed. The goal is to bring both development processes in-house, enabling focused contributions on either backend or frontend functionalities.

Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:

Backend Developer

Design and implement backend solutions, focusing on Business Logic Layer services.
Work with object-oriented programming, relational databases, and ORM frameworks.
Integrate third-party solutions and ensure seamless deployment processes.
Execute tests and validate new features for backend reliability.
Provide support and resolve issues related to backend production, integrations, and deployments.

Frontend Developer

Develop and maintain the interfaces for web applications, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly design.
Participate in the creation of automated tests (e.g., Selenium) and unit tests.
Contribute to software architecture with a focus on user experience and visual design.
Execute tests and validate new features for frontend functionality.
Support and troubleshoot issues related to frontend production, integrations, and deployments.

Technologies/Skill sets:

Backend Developer

Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Wildfly, RabbitMQ, EJB, JPA, JTA, MySQL, REST API, HL7/MIRTH.

Frontend Developer

JavaScript, TypeScript, BackboneJS, REACT, Bootstrap, NodeJS, HTML5, Jest, CSS3.

Required Skills and Expertise:

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on coding experience specific to backend or frontend development.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming and relational databases.
For Backend: Experience in Java and backend frameworks; familiarity with HL7 and agile methodologies is a plus.
For Frontend: Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, frontend design paradigms like Model–View–Presenter (MVP), and agile methodologies is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in your respective focus area.
