Function

The main responsibility of the backend developer at Dasman Diabetes Institute is to maintain and develop the electronic health records system (EHR). The ability to work in a team environment, and to receive training and handover is a must. The primary goal of the position is to move the development process in-house.

Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities

- Design and implement software solutions for the Business Logic Layer services.

- Work in object-oriented, with relational database and an ORM.

- Participate in technology analysis and recommendations.

- Responsible for integrating third party solutions.

- Execute tests and validate new features.

- Support, investigate and solve different problems related to production, integrations and deployments.

Required Skills and Expertise:

Java / J2EE, Hibernate, Wildfly, RabbitMQ, EJB, JPA, JTA, MySQL, REST API and HL7/MIRTH

Experience in software architecture, JAVA and Wildfly Application Server.
Experience with HL7.
Knowledge in object-oriented programming.
Experience and knowledge of agile methods is an asset.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or DEC in computer science.

Experience: 3 - 5 years significant hands-on coding experience.
