Function
Responsible to support in operational duties for the Research division but not limited to all operational services within DDI and in generating related reports, status and progress updates to Head and senior management as needed.
Support the Principal Investigators (PIs) of research projects in a variety of ways within the established research management framework and system. Support in setting up the platforms for the research project management system and its integration with operations.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s Degree (English, business, IT, Information science, administration or office management, project management or any related fields).
- Prepare progress and status reports related to day to day and topline activities.
- Support in tracking all operational reports, financial reports and documents that pertain to the Research division.
- Develop dashboards for quality reporting on Research Operations and Project Management related areas including, but not limited to, budgets, procurement, HR, IT and ongoing project status.
- Liaise between Research and other divisions with DDI when required on operational and research project management requirements.
- Maintains confidentiality of documents and information. Demonstrates professionalism and diplomacy in communicating with all staff.
- Participated in Research Operations and Project Management quality initiatives and performance improvement activities which includes KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and workplans.
- Assist in developing, maintaining and sustaining a streamlined project management platform with key reporting and monitoring measures.
- Assist in providing reports to DDI senior management on projects status, identifying risks and potential issues, and maintaining project archives – to include operational elements.
- Tracks research projects’ key performance indicators with PIs specifically for the project milestone progress and forecast completion date.
- Conduct team meetings to discuss project status and issues and assist PIs in planning and coordinating the approved research projects.
- Assist in developing and managing departmental policies and procedures.
- Administrative Management and support of committees and internal/external board reviews with Head and CSO Office.
- Monitor and assist project documentations, issues and research reports for senior management review.
- Assist in coordinating the DDI research strategy deliverables with the Head.
- Collaborate with Office of Regulatory Affairs to ensure deliverables are met within the research project management system.
- Maintains working knowledge of the research process and in the conduct of ERC approved research protocols, following GCP guidelines.
- Support other team members as needed to assist in delivering their objectives.
- Any relevant duties assigned by the Head.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Previous work experience in research environment is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of office protocol, document management methodologies and procedures and automated on-line system applications is required.
- Must have strong and effective organizational skills and proven capability to manage multiple tasks.
- Advanced computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, automated document management applications and the aptitude to continually learn new software or applications is required
- Good Interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluent in both Arabic & English.
Other Comments:
