Function
Assist in carrying out research project preparation, facilitate implementation and maintain data collection. Provide support to project principal investigator and co-investigators. Duties will vary depending on type of research and setting.
Responsibilities
- Participate in aiding DDI, community and hospital-based research projects that target diabetes, obesity and other initiatives across different settings and age groups
- Engage in research study preparations, maintain, and update project materials
- Recruit, coordinate and administer study participants and collect and clean data
- Prepare graphs, presentations, posters, reports from research findings
- Conduct literature reviews
- Collaborate and communicate with other units in DDI, international researchers, and investigators for publications and information for projects
- Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of Unit
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Knowledge in appropriate research disciplines (diabetes, public health, epidemiology, nutrition, lifestyle)
- Evidence of engagement in public health and/or diabetes research and contribution to published research
- Excellent communication skills including presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills, must be able to work in a highly accurate manner, pay close attention to details, and keep record of their work
- Excellent time-management skills, its important to be able to meet project deadlines and manage time to accomplish goals
- Ability to adapt to research and business needs
- Commitment to excellence in research and within professional and ethical code of conduct
Other Comments:
- BSc or equivalent in relevant discipline (nurse, nutrition, public health, pharmacy, biochemistry, or a related field)
