Function
Acts as a translator for health care professionals within the clinic setting. Manages and maintains patient health information including patient data, clinic schedules, patient appointments and day-to-day activities of confirming appointments, rescheduling appointments and clinics, guiding patients, answering all patient’s inquiries and completing statistical data related to patient care and services offered
Responsibilities
- Act as a translator across clinics for health care providers who are not Arabic speakers. This includes translating the diagnosis and patient education.
- Translate medical and research documents from English to Arabic and vice versa
- Writing medical reports as per the supervisor’s request
- Data collection and data entry
- Calling/texting patients to participate in research and follow up the registration process, as well as assist in recruiting participants.
- Open patient files and complete the registration process (personal patient cards and personal patient data) through the Institute’s appointment/medical records software application.
- Follow-up with referring parties when referral information is incomplete.
- Prepare patient files for newly admitted patients and assemble medical records into standard order.
- Setting patient appointments and calling them to reconfirm their appointments.
- Prepare clinic schedules and resolve cancellations and re-scheduling issues.
- Prepare clinical appointment lists and other patient information requests, as required by DDI clinical staff.
- Prepare clinical medical forms, by adding patient information, prior to the patients’ appointment.
- Return patient files to the medical filing room, while making sure to store the patient files in accordance with the filing system of the medical filing room.
- Provide information of general nature to authorized requestors.
- Maintain confidentiality, security and access control for medical files.
- Processing medical insurance claims.
- Ensuring the best customer service is delivered.
- Handling administrative issues relating to the role.
- Filling up policy requisition forms.
- Reviewing patient records using medical coding procedures.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Ensures legal compliance by following company policies, procedures, guidelines, as well as Kuwait insurance regulations.
- Ensuring patients complete the satisfaction survey and following this up with the Patient Liaison Officer.
- Complete Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate and CITI certificate for research.
- Translating all the required tasks in the medical sector.
- Performs any other task requested by the Head of the department or the Supervisor.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Minimum 3 years’ previous experience
- Scientific or medical background
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work more than one shift
- Good attention to detail
- Computer experience required – Microsoft word and excel
- Bilingual – Arabic & English
