PhD or Master degree with three years experience in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or Bioinformatics.
Responsibilities
Some or all of the following qualities are expected:
a. Work experience in Informatics Infrastructure for Biomolecular sciences, Health Sciences, and Lifestyle Sciences.
b. Experience with extraction/representation of knowledge from dipartite data sources such as Public Health data, clinical records, lifestyle intervention programmes, and bioinformatics.
c. Familiarity with methods that delineate relationships between data objects.
d. Knowledge of data models, standards, vocabularies that are in vogue in the fields of Health Informatics and Biomedical Informatics.
e. Experience in developing integrated databases with web interfaces providing visualization and query/analysis tools. Knowledge of database management systems and database programming.
f. Knowledge and experience with programming languages, software tools that mine knowledge from large-scale data.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Practical experience in data mining, data representation & knowledge integration in the context of Public Health, Epidemiology, and Biomedical Science informatics is required.
