Function

Practical experience in analysis/interpretation/integration of data from Genetics/Genomics/Proteomics/Transcriptomics/Biomedical sciences with Health & Lifestyle Informatics is required.

Responsibilities

 

a. Experience in building data models in Biomedical and Bio informatics objects and relationships.

 

b. Experience in vocabularies and data standards for biomolecular objects.

 

c. Experience in connecting through the data from biomolecular sciences, biomedical/clinical sciences, and public health data.

 

d. Data modeling and analysis in the field of gene-environment interactions.

 

e. Experience with data mining, mathematical/statistical procedures, modeling & simulations as applied in bioinformatics. Ability to extend these methodologies to Health Informatics and epidemiology studies.

 

f. Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Perl, and C.  Experience with developing pipelines for the analysis/integration of highthroughput data.

 

 

 

Required Skills and Expertise:

PhD or Master degree with three years experience in Biomedical Informatics or Bioinformatics.

 

Experience in the context of Public Health Data is desirable.
