Function

Responsibilities

1. To work closely with the administrative officer associated with the project
2. To produce regular reports to the administrative officer, the Project Steering Group
3. Overseeing the project and other stakeholder groups where appropriate.
4. In collaboration with project partners, to coordinate project visits and the dissemination of project findings.
5. Attain expert knowledge of the DAFNE project standards, policies, processes and implementation requirements.
6. Develop and implement a nursing training program to align work flow and organizational practice with the DAFNE programme standards.
7. Oversee and develop policies and procedures necessary for project implementation.
8. Participate, facilitate, and lead other initiatives that align with the DAFNE model.
9. Facilitate the implementation of Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives within the DAFNE programme at the Dasman Diabetes Institute.
10. Work with the DAFNE management team to develop strategies for the clinic’s QI program.
11. Participate in clinical research and train the nurses concerned

 

Required Skills and Expertise:

Education: Bachelor degree in Nursing or other health care profession, with knowledge of ambulatory clinic operations or equivalent professional qualifications.

Experience: At least three years of experience in the field of health. Relevant work experience and/or knowledge.

Abilities: Candidate must have strong organizational skills, management experience, strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English with an understanding of clinic functions, the ability to educate and train staff, and team building skills. Knowledge of computer information systems and a variety of computer programs is essential, including, data base, word processing, and spreadsheets. Must be able to travel to out of state meetings. Flexible work hours during standard work week.
