Function

* Ensure that the Learning Center is ready and functional prior to the start of the academic year.
* Help out with the daily operation of the center, monitor the availability of equipment, services, and technology, and ensure that all students enrolled in the postgraduate program have the academic support services they need to be successful.
* S/he will maintain a safe and secure learning environment for the students.

Responsibilities

* Work under the supervision of the Education and Training Director and assist in providing direction and guidance to the students enrolled in the University of Dundee (UoD) PG/Cert/Dip/M.Sc.
* Act as the Institute’s contact for applicants enquiring about the postgraduate course including, explanation of course content, admissions requirements, and help with UKPASS application procedure.
* Provide guidance in the daily operation of the Center with emphasis on student academic support services.
* Schedules audiovisual equipment usage for all instructors and coordinates with the concerned vendor with regard to the equipments’ maintenance.
* Maintain Learning Center usage documentation, including equipment usage, room booking and allocation to ensure the maximum utilization of the center’s resources.
* Assist students with any computer-related issues, help students with the utilization of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), provide support for students and facilitate ease of contact with the supervisors, and facilitate access to on-line journals and library facilities in Dasman and at Dundee University.

Required Skills and Expertise:

* B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or Business Administration., M.Sc is preferred 
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.) and experience in the use of web conferencing technologies.
* Experience in eLearning environments and the underlining technology.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills.
* Excellent oral and written skills.
* Fluent in Arabic and English language (spoken and written).
* Relevant working experience.

Other Comments:

* Might be required to work flexible working hours, and in the weekends.
