A key role within the Genome Informatics Group involved with developing data analysis pipelines, software development, and statistical analysis. Your main area of expertise will be in the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data and you will be expected to provide expertise in developing workflows and analysis pipelines for NGS projects.
Responsibilities
- Carries out a wide range of computational genomics duties in handling/analyzing/interpreting the highthroughput data.
- Provides expertise in developing workflows and analysis pipelines for NGS projects.
- Develops variant classification procedures and functional genomics procedures.
- Helps the team leader in building and implementing the Computational Genomics Suite.
- Assist in selection of software and data resources.
- Adhere to all research center related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Expertise:
PhD (or Master degree in Bioinformatics with 3-5 yrs of experience) in any aspect of Next Generation Sequencing data analysis
