· Diabetic counseling and support to the other Diabetes Nurse Educators
· Quality Improvement & Accreditation Program Implementation

Participate in MOH Diabetes Education program review and delivery
Responsibilities
- Diabetic patient counseling and Education, using the international standards framework (e.g. ADA and AADE), in a collaborative and ongoing manner.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of diverse education programs for both professionals and non–professionals.
- Develops and directs the implementation of an annual program evaluation plan and performance improvement activities, including CQI projects.
- Provides oversight for planning, Implementation and evaluation of the Diabetes Self Management Education/Training (DSME/T) program and ensures the systematic and coordinated delivery of diabetes educational services.
- Ensures that DSME/T program accreditation requirements are met and maintained.
- Liaises with the Accreditation Advisory Group in relation to education programs.
- Participates in ongoing departmental meetings as necessary
- Performs other related duties as required by the department
Required Skills and Expertise:
1. B.Sc. Nursing
2. Certified Diabetes Educator
3. Minimum 5 years experience in Diabetes Education
4. Experience Accreditation Programs in Medical Institutes
5. Experience in teaching nursing/education staff
