Function
The primary focus of this position is on a National multi-year program of research concerning diabetes, and obesity. The Research Analyst collaborates with scientists to design, analysis, and result interpretations of clinical and public health research.
Responsibilities
Preparation of
o Analysis plans (SAPs)
o Specifications for analysis data sets and data displays (e.g. tables and graphs)
Statistical programs to verify statistical tables, listings, and graphs
- Result interpretation
- develops, documents and reviews designs for the management and analysis of data
- Communicates with study team members regarding study performance related to timelines, data quality, and result interpretation
- Generates data listings and study metrics using available tools (e.g., Oracle, SAS, MS Access, MS Excel, SQL*Plus)
- Assists researchers in writing manuscripts
Required Skills and Expertise:
· Masters degree in Epidemiology, public health, Biostatistics or similar relevant discipline
· Minimum 3 years relevant experience or in-depth knowledge in the field of population and public health
· Expertise in statistical packages – SAS, S-Plus/R
· Expertise in statistical techniques – longitudinal, multivariate, hierarchical, data-mining, survival analysis, among others
Experience writing and editing technical reports
