Function
Assists in the design, implementation and management of specific research data capture interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements appropriate data-capture methods for scientific data
- Maintains and modifies existing data capture interfaces
- Participates in CRF design and developments of the data management system for studies
- Designs, tests, documents, and maintains BERD databases (SAS, DataFax, PostgreSQL ...)
- Develops, documents, and maintains data cleaning procedures utilizing SAS edit checks
- Implements and maintains standard datasets and reports
- Automates routine data management tasks and reporting
- Develops and/or maintains user interface programs and software tools
Required Skills and Expertise:
Requires knowledge of the systems development life cycle, relational databases and clinical trials database design. Knowledge of and experience in programming support of clinical trials, statistical programming, or other scientific research programming support.
Strong background in OS: Unix/Linux, Windows, Programming: C++/C# .Net, JAVA, CGI, Databases: SQL/mySQL/Oracle
Scripting: Perl, Shell, Statistics: SAS/R/S-Plus/Matlab

BA/BS in computer science or related discipline
