Function
Set and establish standards for safety and quality for DDI. Lead and monitor practices, processes and systems for quality assurance and safety compliance
Responsibilities
- Manage the development, organization and maintenance of quality & safety improvements for programs, functions and activities
- Sets objectives, goals and a work plan to achieve objectives whilst regularly monitoring and updating standards
- Ensure that the institute is meeting requirements and continuously improving its processes
- Establish a plan and process to identify and control risks and hazards. Ensure processes adhere to legal requirements via Kuwait health and safety regulations, DDI project protocols, ethics and governance
- Monitor, measure and evaluate hazards for quality management and direct improvement plans that control or minimize risks
- Provide up to date information on status of quality and safety processes when required by the senior management and quarterly reviews
- Lists specific reporting requirements: system performance (audits and reviews), incidents and non-conformance, hazard identification, risk assessment, preventive and corrective actions, and any statutory (legal) requirements
- Other duties as may be assigned by the direct supervisor
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Demonstrated advanced skills with MS Office products, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and enterprise based risk management systems
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills including ability to effectively manage competing workload priorities with tight timeframes
- Effective communication skills including written and verbal
- Risk management experience preferable
- Systems improvement expertise and experience
- Prior experience in leading audit preparation, maintenance and improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills including interpersonal skills, negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, and support a Health Services or Community Services organization regarding quality improvement, risk management and accreditation issues to all staff members
- Certification/experience in filing and office management is a plus
Other Comments:
- Master's degree in Quality and Safety
- Project Management Program Certificate is a plus
